On the occasion of the company’s 15th anniversary, Mrs. Melita Ymeraga, Founder and CEO of Melita & Partners, delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation at BISTLAB | Balkan Economy and Finance Laboratory for students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (IBU). The session focused on the growing importance of digital accounting and outlined the benefits, emerging trends, and future organizational structures associated with the digitalization of financial processes.
During the presentation, Mrs. Melita introduced several leading digital accounting platforms, including Dext, QuickBooks, and Xero, providing an overview of their core functionalities and their relevance in modern accounting practice. A particular focus was placed on QuickBooks, one of the most widely adopted accounting platforms globally, where students had the opportunity to observe a live demonstration. Moreover, Mrs. Melita explained how QuickBooks streamlines financial management through automated bookkeeping, invoice processing, expense tracking, payroll management, and real-time financial reporting. The platform’s integration capabilities, user-friendly interface, and suitability for both small businesses and growing enterprises were highlighted as key reasons for its rising importance in digital accounting. This allowed IBU students to understand not only its technical features but also its practical value in digital accounting, by gaining firsthand insight into how the platform is used in everyday accounting operations and supporting informed decision-making.
At the end of the event, through a digital spinning wheel selection, one of the FEAS students was awarded a scholarship for complimentary QuickBooks training, offering a valuable opportunity to develop in-demand digital accounting skills.
We express our sincere appreciation to Melita & Partners for their visit and for delivering their informative and impactful presentation, as well as for their continued support of student development and digital competency advancement.
