On April 27th, 2026, BISTLAB | Balkan Economy and Finance Laboratory, operating within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS), officially inaugurated a three-day, practice-oriented workshop entitled “The Importance of Insurance: From Theory to Regulatory Practice,” organized in collaboration with the Insurance Supervisory Agency of North Macedonia (ISA).
The workshop is designed to provide FEAS students with a comprehensive and applied understanding of the role of insurance within contemporary financial systems, effectively bridging theoretical frameworks with real-world regulatory practice.
The opening session, moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska, Coordinator of BISTLAB, featured welcome addresses by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of FEAS, and Ms. Ratka Celakovski, Coordinator of the Unit for Research and Development at the ISA.
The event was formally opened by Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Ahmet Lokce, who also presented Ms. Ratka Celakovski with a Certificate of Appreciation, underscoring the importance of mutual institutional collaboration in strengthening the vital linkage between academic knowledge and regulatory practice in the insurance sector.
